Terms and Conditions

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before enrolling in any program or purchasing any service offered by The ALIGN Framework™. By completing a purchase or submitting an application, you agree to be bound by these terms.

General

The ALIGN Framework™ (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates thealignframework.com and offers programs, events, and private engagements including The ALIGN + SPARK TANK!™ Experience, SPARK TANK!™, and The Custom Build. These Terms and Conditions govern your participation in any of these offerings.

All disputes arising under these Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Enrollment and Payment

The ALIGN + SPARK TANK!™ Experience

Enrollment is confirmed upon receipt of your deposit and acceptance of your application. A $1,000 deposit is required to reserve your spot in the base Experience. A $2,000 deposit is required to reserve your spot in the VIP Upgrade.

Full payment is due by July 13, 2026 to secure early bird pricing. Standard pricing applies to balances paid after July 13, 2026.

Spots are limited and enrollment is offered by application only. Submission of a deposit does not guarantee enrollment if your application has not been approved.

Payment Plans

Payment plans are available upon request and consist of three installments. Payment plan schedules are confirmed at the time of enrollment.

If a scheduled payment is missed, we will make two attempts to collect the payment. If both attempts are unsuccessful, your spot will be released and any payments made will be retained as a cancellation fee.

Partner Enrollment

A limited number of partner spots are available for a co-founder, spouse, or business partner actively involved in the same venture. Partner enrollment is available at a discounted rate and is subject to application approval. Partner spots are non-transferable and limited to two per cohort.

Refund Policy

The ALIGN + SPARK TANK!™ Experience

Full refund available within 30 days of purchase
After 30 days, payments are non-refundable but may be applied as a credit toward a future ALIGN + SPARK TANK!™ Experience
In the event that The ALIGN Framework™ cancels or postpones the event, a full refund will be issued to all enrolled participants
All refund requests must be submitted in writing to DrCates@TheAlignFramework.com

SPARK TANK!™ Audience Registration

The $50 audience registration fee is non-refundable
All proceeds from audience registration are donated directly to Sonoran University of Health Sciences

SPARK TANK!™ Finalist Preparation Fee

The $1,500 finalist preparation fee is collected only upon selection as a finalist
You have the right to cancel within the legally required cooling-off period of three business days from the date the fee is collected
After the cooling-off period, the preparation fee is non-refundable as preparation sessions and judge alignment will have begun
In the event that SPARK TANK!™ is cancelled, a full refund of the preparation fee will be issued

The Custom Build

Refund terms for The Custom Build are outlined in your individual proposal and engagement agreement
You are responsible for payment for all work completed up to the date of cancellation
A cancellation fee applies upon early termination of the engagement as outlined in your proposal
Specific terms vary by engagement and will be confirmed in writing prior to commencement of work

Transfer Policy

Enrollment in The ALIGN + SPARK TANK!™ Experience and all related programs is non-transferable. Your spot may not be transferred to another individual under any circumstances.

Event Changes

We reserve the right to make changes to the program schedule, content, speakers, and venue as needed. We will communicate any significant changes to enrolled participants as soon as possible. Changes to the program do not constitute grounds for a refund outside of the terms outlined above.

Recording Policy

In-person retreat sessions will not be recorded in order to maintain the intimate and confidential nature of our discussions.

Virtual ALIGN Foundations calls will be recorded and made available for replay to enrolled participants. Participants may request that recording be paused during any portion of a call where they are sharing something they prefer to keep private.

Intellectual Property

All content, materials, frameworks, and resources provided as part of The ALIGN + SPARK TANK!™ Experience, SPARK TANK!™, and The Custom Build — including but not limited to The ALIGN Framework™, workbooks, exercises, and session content — are the intellectual property of The ALIGN Framework™ and are protected by copyright.

Participants may not reproduce, distribute, share, or repurpose any program materials without prior written consent from The ALIGN Framework™.

Participants retain full ownership of their own ideas, businesses, and intellectual property. By participating in SPARK TANK!™ or any group session, participants acknowledge that their ideas will be shared in a group setting and that The ALIGN Framework™ is not responsible for the independent actions of other participants, judges, or audience members.

Code of Conduct

Participation in any ALIGN Framework™ program or event is a privilege. We are committed to creating a safe, respectful, and high-integrity environment for all participants. By enrolling, you agree to the following:

Respect for Others Treat all participants, hosts, guests, judges, and staff with dignity and respect at all times — both in person and in any online community spaces associated with the program.

Privacy and Confidentiality What is shared in the room stays in the room. Participants agree to maintain the confidentiality of personal and business information shared by other participants during group sessions, workshops, and community spaces.

Respect for Intellectual Property Participants agree not to reproduce, repurpose, or claim ownership of ideas, strategies, frameworks, or content shared by other participants, hosts, or guest speakers. This includes content shared during in-person sessions, virtual calls, and online community spaces.

Professional Conduct Participants agree to engage in all sessions and interactions in a professional and constructive manner. Disruptive, disrespectful, or harmful behavior will not be tolerated.

Consequences The ALIGN Framework™ reserves the right to remove any participant whose behavior violates this Code of Conduct at any time, without refund.

Disclaimer

The ALIGN Framework™ programs and events are designed to provide strategic guidance, community support, and educational content. Results will vary based on individual effort, experience, and circumstances. We do not guarantee specific business outcomes or financial results from participation in any of our programs.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The ALIGN Framework™ shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your participation in any program or event. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific program or service giving rise to the claim.

Agreement

By completing a purchase, submitting a deposit, or enrolling in any program offered by The ALIGN Framework™, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
